Sharing Chemistry with Kids in Honduras

If you google “Chispa”, which means “spark” in Spanish, you would learn that it is the name of a Latino dating app, but the Chispa Project is a volunteer effort to provide books to Honduran students.  Our section had a couple hundred extra Earth Day booklets in Spanish that we donated to this cause.  As you can see by the smiles below, the booklets were much appreciated!

2018 Cal EPA Earth Day Celebration

The Sacramento Section invited over 150 attendees at the annual CalEPA Earth Day Celebration to participate in an experiment demonstrating how CO2 absorption can increase acidity of the oceans.
