Sacramento Section announces a program for AACT membership grants to local high school teachers of chemistry
ACS members who are or know K-12 teachers, particularly with science emphasis, your Sacramento Local Section has introduced a new grant program to support these individuals in their crucial profession. High School Students Participated in Chemistry Olympiad
Held at Sacramento City College, the local chemistry olympiad is complete and was a success. The Chemistry Club at UC Davis provides outreach shows and demonstrations to schools, community groups, and UC Davis students. On Friday, March 20, Chem Club got together to celebrate spring and Easter by dyeing eggs. The wonderful rainbow of dyes served its double duty for the chem club members by giving them some insight into the chemistry of dyes as well as giving brilliant colors to the eggs.
