University of Hawaii Looking for Plant Biology Asst. Professor

The Department of Molecular Biosciences and Bioengineering (MBBE) at the University of Hawai‘i at Manoa (UHM) invites applicants for a tenure track position in plant biochemistry at the Assistant Professor level beginning August 1, 2023.

The department seeks candidates whose research is centered on plant biochemistry. Candidates with multi/interdisciplinary research experience (e.g., with bioengineering) are encouraged to apply. The course assignments will include undergraduate biochemistry courses and a graduate course in plant biochemistry. Qualified candidates shall possess a promising record of scholarships, a strong research agenda, and be able to support students through advising as well as mentorship. The department is particularly interested in candidates who have experience working with students from diverse backgrounds, minimizing barriers, and increasing equity and completion rates among different demographics.
