Working with the UC Davis Department of Chemistry and the UC Davis Chemistry Club, SAC ACS sponsored a visit from Attila Pavlath, former ACS President (2001). Dr. Pavlath spoke on “How Chemistry May Extend Meaningful Lifetime” to an audience of approximately 40 students, faculty and others from the Sacramento area. His remarks touched on most everything from microchips to artificial organs, highlighting the impact of chemistry in keeping humans happy and healthy! In addition to his presentation, Dr. Pavlath spoke about the importance of involvement in local ACS sections.
